Coaching Academy 

Our coaching academy is a vehicle for developing a coaching culture throughout the Trust to help develop, engage, motivate and care for our staff to deliver better patient care. It will support us to consistently have a “culture of caring” which both our staff and patients will experience.

TRUST GRADE SPECIALTY TRAINEE (ST1/2) IN GENERAL SURGERY

Applications are invited for the position of Trust Grade Specialty Trainee ST1/2 in General Surgery for 12 months. The post offers experience in elective and emergency surgical work.  The rota is a 1:9 full shift, system includes prospective cover for annual and study leave.

Stepping Hill Hospital is one of the country’s first NHS Foundation Trusts.  This is a large District General Hospital in a pleasant residential area on the border of the Cheshire Plain and the Peak District. There are excellent local amenities in schools.

There is an active Postgraduate Centre with a comprehensive programme of clinical meetings, seminars and excellent library facilities.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust’s policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.

If successful, this vacancy will require an enhanced £43.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary. In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
